Creation of Barangay Naibuan, Occidental Mindoro

The law precisely delineates the territorial boundaries of Barangay Naibuan.
Boundaries are described with references to adjacent municipalities and barangays.
The eastern boundary is adjacent to the Municipality of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro.
Southern boundaries are adjacent to Barangay Paclolo, Municipality of Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro.
Southwestern boundaries are with Barangay Murtha, Municipality of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
Northwestern boundaries are defined adjacent to Barangay Batasan and Barangay Monteclaro within San Jose.
Detailed survey lines include bearings and distances measured in meters to specify each boundary line segment.

The plebiscite was conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections.
It was pursuant to Provincial Ordinance No. 33, series of 2009 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Occidental Mindoro.
The plebiscite ratified the creation of Barangay Naibuan as proclaimed on January 5, 2018.
This plebiscite fulfills the requirement under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991), as amended.

The current barangay officials of Barangay Naibuan shall continue to serve in their capacities.
They will hold office until their successors are elected and have qualified according to law.

All public infrastructure and facilities existing at the time of this law’s approval remain the ownership of Barangay Naibuan.
These infrastructures and facilities will be administered by Barangay Naibuan.

Barangay Naibuan shall receive National Tax Allotment shares.
This entitlement is pursuant to Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended.

All laws, decrees, executive orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed or modified accordingly.

This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
The law lapsed into effect without the President’s signature in accordance with the Constitution (Article VI Section 27(1)).
