Increase in Bed Capacity
- The authorized bed capacity for the hospital is increased from ten (10) beds to two hundred (200) beds.
- This increase aims to accommodate a larger patient population and expand hospital services.
Upgrading of Facilities and Human Resources
- Existing professional health care services, facilities, and health human resource staff are to be upgraded to match the expanded bed capacity.
- The hospital's development, including the bed capacity increase, shall align with a five-year development plan to ensure systematic growth and service capability enhancement.
Implementation and Funding
- The Secretary of Health is mandated to include the implementation of this Act in the Department of Health's programs.
- Appropriate funding for the hospital's conversion and upgrade shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act, ensuring budgetary support.
Rules and Regulations
- Within ninety (90) days of the Act's approval, the Secretary of Health, in consultation with the Secretary of Budget and Management, must promulgate the necessary rules and regulations to effectively implement the Act.
Severability Clause
- If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to remain effective and enforceable.
Repealing Clause
- All existing laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified to the extent of their inconsistency.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, ensuring prompt implementation following public notice.
