Representation and Quarters Allowances
- Officials listed, including the First Assistant City Fiscal, are entitled to a commutable representation allowance.
- The City Council determines the amount of this allowance, subject to approval by the City Mayor.
- Representation allowance must not exceed the official's annual compensation.
- City Mayor and Vice Mayor may receive an additional commutable quarters allowance of up to P12,000.00 per annum, at the discretion of the City Council.
Effectivity and Appointment Provisions
- Current officials occupying the specified positions shall receive the new salary rates and allowances immediately upon the law's effectivity.
- No new appointments are necessary for the salary adjustments to take effect.
- Two positions newly created by the law (Executive-Legislative Liaison Officer and Assistant Executive-Legislative Liaison Officer) are deemed permanent and part of the classified service.
- Appointment to these new positions is by the City Mayor but must comply with prevailing civil service laws, rules, and regulations.
Implementation
- The law takes effect immediately upon approval.
- The law was enacted without the Executive's approval on June 21, 1969.
