Short Stay Visa Provisions
- Permits a stay of up to ninety (90) days within a six (6) month period from first entry.
- The 90 days are cumulative within those six months.
- This visa category is non-renewable.
- Foreigners intending to seek employment are not eligible for this visa.
- Upon expiration, the foreigner must leave Romania.
- Covered purposes include tourism, mission, visit, business, transportation, sports, cultural, scientific, and humanitarian activities.
Long Stay Visa Provisions
- Issued for activities such as economic, professional, commercial pursuits, employment, studies, religious purposes, and family reunification.
- Allows renewal for temporary stay.
- Requests for employment visas must be submitted within 30 days after issuance of a working license.
Documentary Requirements for Employment Visa
- A valid working license issued by the Romanian Immigration Office is mandatory.
- Proof of means of support equivalent to the minimum salary for the entire visa duration is required.
- Certification of no criminal record or equivalent document from the foreigner’s country of domicile or residence.
- Medical insurance covering the validity period of the visa.
- Proof of accommodation arrangements within Romania.
Visa Issuance and Embassy Information
- Entry visas are primarily issued by Romanian diplomatic missions abroad.
- Exceptionally, visas may be granted by officials at state border crossing points.
- In the Philippines, the Romanian Embassy is located at 1216 Acacia Road, Dasmariñas Village, Makati City.
