Restricted Hours for Certain Trucks

  • Trucks with six or more wheels are banned during peak hours (Monday to Friday, except holidays):
    • North Luzon Expressway:
      • Southbound 6-9 AM (Tabang to Balintawak)
      • Northbound 4-8 PM (Balintawak to Tabang)
    • South Luzon Expressway:
      • Northbound 6-9 AM (Alabang to Nichols)
      • Southbound 4-8 PM (Nichols to Alabang)

Procedures for Stalled or Disabled Vehicles

  • Stalled vehicles will be towed by authorized operators to the nearest exit and impounding area or authorized garage.
  • Vehicles with flat tires are given time for tire changing and not towed outright.
  • Towing fees conform to the Metropolitan Manila Authority (MMA) schedule and payable by the owner/driver before or after towing.
  • Owners/drivers may sign a promissory note to settle fees with vehicle release contingent on payment.
  • Any damage or loss during towing is the sole responsibility of the vehicle’s owner/driver.

Lane Usage Rules

  • Lane No. 1 (closest to center divider) is for faster vehicles or overtaking but overtaking vehicles have no right-of-way.
  • Cargo trucks, buses, and slow-moving vehicles are prohibited from Lane No. 1 at all times.

Liability for Damage to Expressway Property

  • Damage to expressway property (lamp posts, fences, dividers, buildings, etc.) must be compensated as assessed by the responding officer.
  • Payment is made either to the TRB or the Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC), depending on ownership.

Speed Limits

  • Trucks: Minimum and maximum speed limit of 60 km/h.
  • Other vehicles:
    • Nichols to Alabang and Balintawak to Tabang: 60 km/h minimum, 80 km/h maximum.
    • Alabang to Calamba and Burol to Dau: 60 km/h minimum, 100 km/h maximum.

Advertising Restrictions

  • Billboards, streamers, posters, and other advertisements are prohibited except in Board-designated and approved locations in compliance with specifications.

Repealing Clause

  • All prior orders and instructions inconsistent with these revised rules are modified or repealed.

Effectivity

  • These revised rules and regulations take effect 15 days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
