- Police Clearance from their country of origin or residence.
- The Police Clearance must be duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate at or nearest to the place of issuance.
- An English translation if the clearance is written in a foreign language other than English.
- Exemptions can be granted by the Commissioner in writing.
- Applicants with a stay of six (6) months or more must submit:

- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance along with their application.
Requirements for Visa Extension and Amendment to Permanent Status Applicants
- Applicants seeking visa extension or amendment to permanent status are required to submit an NBI Clearance together with their application.
Implementation Timeline
- The requirement for NBI Clearance in visa extension and amendment to permanent status applications shall take effect fifteen (15) days after receipt by:
- The Secretary of the Department of Justice.
- The Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR), University of the Philippines (UP) Law Center, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
