Procedure for Repatriation

    • Cancels the alien certificate of registration.
    • Issues a certificate of identification as a Filipino citizen.

Legal Adjustments

  • All laws, decrees, orders, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed or amended accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Act takes effect thirty (30) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
  • The law lapsed into effect on July 3, 1995, without the President's signature, as provided by the Constitution.
