Organizational Structure

Regulation Division Functions

Functions of Regional and Local Land Transportation Offices

  • Regional Offices: direct regional land transport enforcement, implement headquarters policies, make administrative decisions.

  • Local Offices: conduct driver tests, issue licenses, inspect vehicles, enforce regulations, and assist local police and Philippine Constabulary.

  • Headquarters functions include supervision, developing standards, planning education campaigns, and traffic accident studies.
  • Traffic Teams enforce laws, arrest violators, coordinate with local police, assist Bureau of Land Transportation.
  • Secretary of National Defense may assign additional Armed Forces personnel to assist traffic control.

Personnel Provisions

  • Staffing to conform to approved patterns until June 30, 1957.
  • Employment subject to civil service laws; current qualified personnel employed before new hires.

  • Invalidity of any provision does not affect other provisions.
