Increase in Bed Capacity and Service Facilities
- The hospital's authorized bed capacity is increased from fifty (50) beds to two hundred (200) beds.
- Service facilities and professional healthcare services are upgraded to match the expanded bed capacity.
- The hospital’s workforce is correspondingly increased to support the enlarged capacity and service expansion.
Workforce and Plantilla Positions
- The Department of Health (DOH), in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission, will determine additional plantilla positions to be created and filled.
- Consultation with the hospital authorities is required in determining these new positions.
Implementation and Funding
- The Secretary of Health is mandated to incorporate the implementation of this Act into the Department of Health’s programs immediately.
- Funding for the hospital upgrade and operations under this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Severability Clause
- If any section or provision of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining provisions of the Act shall continue to remain valid and enforceable.
Superseding Effect
- All laws, decrees, rules, and regulations inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are deemed amended or repealed to the extent of their inconsistency.
Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation.
