Renaming Ceremonial Hall to Rizal Hall

The proclamation recognizes Dr. Jose P. Rizal as the National Hero of the Philippines by virtue of his exemplary life and martyrdom for the nation.
It states that Malacañang Palace serves as a reminder of Rizal’s sacrifice and tragedy because it is the site where his death sentence was proclaimed and his warrant of execution was signed, and where it later became the residence of the Presidents.
