Unauthorized Use of PNP Uniforms and Accoutrements
- Prohibited for non-PNP uniformed personnel
- Violators subject to public censure published in newspapers and possible legal actions
- Criminal liability under Article 179 of the Revised Penal Code for improper use
- Fines imposed without prejudice to other actions
- Use in theatrical or film productions allowed under PNP supervision, provided no discrediting portrayal
Adoption and Accreditation of Uniforms and Accoutrements
- PNP authorized to adopt uniforms and accoutrements exclusively for its personnel
- Designs approved by the UESB
- Only accredited manufacturers, sellers, and distributors allowed
- Applicants subject to visitorial powers of the Chief, PNP or authorized representatives
- Visitations during business hours and for inspection of compliance only
Repeal and Effectivity
- All inconsistent orders or rules repealed or modified
- IRR takes effect upon publication in three newspapers and registration with the National Administrative Register
Implementation Authority
- Police Director General and Chief, PNP as signatory and authoritative implementer of the rules
