- Classes must not be suspended for school celebrations of important historical and significant events
- Events such as United Nations Day, Arbor Day, School Nutrition Month, Environment Month, AIDS Awareness Day, etc., must be integrated into regular classroom discussions relevant to subject areas
Integration of National Programs into Regular Discussions
- National DepEd programs to be embedded in classroom discussions within relevant subjects
- Minimize school contests supporting national programs as a mode of student engagement
Regulation of Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities
- Co-curricular activities, school clubs, organizations, and competitions allowed after class hours or during designated student activity periods
- School Head to authorize activity scheduling under the guidance of the teacher adviser
- Lengthy activities (1-2 days) like BSP/GSP encampments and school sports competitions to be held on weekends or during summer
- Encourage enrichment and remediation classes to support learning; scheduling determined by the School Head
Scheduling of In-Service Training and School Conferences
- In-service training, symposia, and conferences to be scheduled ideally during summer
- Monthly school or school cluster-based in-service trainings may occur after class hours or weekends
- Attendance at local school press conferences restricted to schools with school papers
Make-Up Classes to Fulfill Required School Days
- Make-up classes to be held on weekends to compensate for:
- Hosting national or regional school activities
- Town fiesta celebrations
- Local public holidays
- Localized class suspensions due to events like typhoons and calamities
Coordination and Planning at Regional and Division Levels
- Regional Offices tasked to prepare a master plan of activities for the entire school year
- Master plan to be distributed to field units for synchronization of activities and reference
Immediate Implementation
- The Order is to be disseminated and implemented promptly to achieve its objectives
