Obligations of Aliens with Cancelled Permanent Resident Visa
- Aliens whose permanent resident visa has been cancelled under R.A. 7919 must either:
- Leave the Philippines, or
- Request for downgrading of their cancelled visa status and apply for an appropriate visa to regularize their presence in the country.
- This instructs affected foreign nationals on lawful options to maintain legal status following cancellation.
Repeal of Previous Office Memorandum
- Office Memorandum Order No. ADD-02-005, dated 14 June 2002, is formally revoked and replaced by this new memorandum.
Immediate Effectivity
- The provisions of this memorandum took effect immediately upon adoption on October 4, 2002, as signed by Commissioner Andrea D. Domingo.
Legal Authority and Administration
- The memorandum is issued by the Bureau of Immigration Commissioner, thereby carrying the weight of administrative guidance aligned with R.A. 7919 enforcement.
