Academic Programs and Institutional Mandate
- PUP-Sablayan Campus will offer graduate, undergraduate, and short-term technical-vocational courses.
- Courses will be offered within areas of specialization and according to the campus’s capabilities.
- The Board of Regents oversees the academic programs ensuring alignment with objectives.
- The campus is tasked to meet the educational needs of the Province of Occidental Mindoro and the MIMAROPA Region.
- Mandated to engage in research and extension services providing leadership in these areas.
- Authorized to offer graduate degrees under the PUP Open University System.
Campus Administration and Leadership
- The campus will be managed by a Campus Administrator.
- The Campus Administrator must render full-time service.
- Appointment/designation is made by the PUP Board of Regents based on recommendations from a search committee and the University President.
- Appointment is subject to the qualifications, standards, and guidelines set by the Board of Regents.
Funding and Appropriations
- Required funding for the establishment and operation of the campus will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Separability Clause
- If any provision of the Act is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the remaining provisions will continue to be in full force and effect.
Repealing Clause
- Laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, and other rules inconsistent or contrary to the provisions of this Act are repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
