    • Minimum of Ten Pesos for all other courts, including administrative, special courts, agencies, or tribunals with quasi-judicial functions.
  • These fees apply to every action or special proceeding filed for which filing fees are required under Rules of Court or existing statutes/regulations.

Definition of 'Special Proceedings'

  • Includes petitions, applications, documents, or papers seeking:
    • Official action to establish a legal status, right, privilege, or fact.
    • Commands to perform a duty.

Creation and Management of the Legal Research Fund

  • Additional amounts collected are to be part of a special fund called the "Legal Research Fund."
  • Fees collected must be immediately remitted to the University of the Philippines.
  • Deposited in a separate account at an authorized government bank under the name of the National Treasurer, acting as the ex-officio Treasurer of the U.P.

Repeal of Conflicting Laws

  • Repeals all laws, presidential issuances, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this decree.

Effectivity

  • The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance.

  • Enacted by President Ferdinand E. Marcos under constitutional powers and Presidential Decree No. 1416, as amended.
