Penalties for Unauthorized Slaughtering
- Any person found guilty of violating the slaughtering prohibition shall face penalties.
- Penalties include a fine ranging from a minimum of 200 pesos to a maximum of 500 pesos.
- Alternatively, the violator may be sentenced to imprisonment of not less than two months and not more than six months.
- The court has discretion to impose either the fine, the imprisonment, or both simultaneously.
Rule-Making Authority and Conditional Suspension
- The Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to enforce the provisions of this Act effectively.
- The Secretary evaluates the adequacy of the number of work animals available for agricultural purposes nationwide.
- If the Secretary determines there are sufficient work animals, the President may declare this Act temporarily inoperative.
Effectivity of the Act
- The provisions of this Act take effect immediately upon its approval by the appropriate authorities.
- This ensures immediate legal force and applicability following its enactment.
