Law Summary
Verification of Registration
- The MTRCB checks if the blocktimer or co-producer is duly registered with the Board.
Submission of Program Episodes
- If registered, the blocktimer or co-producer is required to submit three recent episodes of the program for review.
Review and Continuous Submission
- The MTRCB Board reviews the submitted episodes.
- Despite the exemption request, the blocktimer/co-producer must continue to submit their programs for regular review until exemption is granted.
Approval and Payment of Exemption Fee
- Upon approval, the Board sends a letter to the program owner notifying them of the exemption approval.
- The owner is directed to pay an exemption fee which is 50% of the regular review fees, according to the schedule of fees.
- All payments for exemption and its renewals must be made at the MTRCB Office.
Issuance of Exemption Permit
- Upon payment completion, the MTRCB issues a letter of Exemption from Review, valid for a fixed period.
- This letter serves as the official Permit to Exhibit the program without regular Board review during the exemption period.
