Organizational Structure of the Office
- Comprises political, economic, cultural, legal, control, and administrative divisions.
- Additional officers and employees can be appointed as service requirements demand.
Policy Committee
- Composed of the Commissioner of Foreign Relations as chairman and division chiefs as members.
- Advises the President on major policy issues.
- Assists the Commissioner in coordinating functions among the divisions.
Assignment and Responsibilities of Divisions
- The Commissioner assigns specific duties to each division based on their nature.
- Each division initiates and coordinates policy and action within its jurisdiction.
Compensation and Budget
- The Commissioner’s annual salary is fixed at ₱10,000.
- Salaries, wages, sundry expenses, and office equipment costs are funded through a special budget as per Commonwealth Act No. 246, Section 7-I (4).
Effectivity of Rules
- Rules take effect starting December 1, 1945.
- Certain provisions become effective only upon Philippine independence declared on July 4, 1946, due to U.S. legal requirements.
