- Health and Safety: Preemptive guidance on maintaining well-being.
- Travel Tips and Procedures: Practical advice for travel logistics.
- Finance Management: Strategies for managing earnings and expenses responsibly.
- Government Services: Information on available support services for overseas workers.
Referral Procedures
- Recruitment Agencies must refer Canada-bound workers to OWWA for PDOS at least two weeks prior to deployment.
- Upon receipt of referral lists, OWWA must provide the PDOS schedule within two days.
- Name hires are referred by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to OWWA for PDOS attendance.
Certificate of Attendance
- OWWA issues certificates to participants who complete the seminar.
- OWWA submits a list of these participants to POEA for reference and to facilitate processing of work permits and contracts.
Repealing Clause
- Any prior issuances inconsistent with these guidelines are considered repealed.
Effectivity
- The memorandum took effect immediately upon issuance on March 18, 2009.
