Engine-change petition filing requirement
- CPC grantees who intend to change the engine must file a Petition for Change of Engine with the Board (LTFRB).
- The petition must attach facsimiles of the following documents pertaining to the new engine:
- Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt
- Invoice of engine Purchased
- Certificate of Stock Report
- PNP Clearance with Official Receipt
- PNP Micro-etching Certificate
- Inspection Report of Motor Vehicle
- The required documents must relate specifically to the new engine that will be installed.
Consequences for failure to file
- Failure to file the Petition for Change of Engine causes the non-confirmation of the units concerned.
- The affected units shall not be registered by the LTO without approval of the Board.
Coordination, modification, and effect
- The circular is implemented in coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
- All other issuances or parts inconsistent with the circular are modified or superseded accordingly.
- The circular’s effectivity is triggered by filing three (3) copies with the UP Law Center, followed by fifteen (15) days.
