Theme and Organizing Body
- The 2012 celebration theme: "ANO NG TAYA MO PARA SA PILIPINAS NATIN?" ("What is your stake for our Philippines?")
- Spearheaded by the EDSA People Power Commission (EPPC)
- EPPC's mandate derived from Executive Order No. 82 (1999) and its amendment Executive Order No. 17 (2010)
- EPPC's role includes promoting awareness of EDSA's principles, planning, and implementing annual commemorations
Scope and Participating Entities
- Applies to all departments, agencies, and instrumentalities of the National Government
- Includes government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs)
- Extends to local government units (LGUs)
- Enjoins active participation in commemoration activities
Prescribed Activities and Participation
- Active involvement from February 14 to 25, 2012 in events organized by EPPC and non-governmental organizations
- Assistance in EPPC-planned programs to ensure their successful execution
- Conducting related activities such as fora, lectures, film showings, and community services
- Display of commemorative materials including banners bearing the event theme "EDSA 26: ANONG TAYA MO PARA SA PILIPINAS NATIN?"
- Use of yellow buntings and flags in all government offices
- Close coordination with the EPPC to align efforts and participation
Implementation and Effectivity
- Circular takes effect immediately upon issuance
- Issued by the Executive Secretary under the authority of the President
- Signifies official government policy and directive for the 2012 EDSA commemoration
