Continuity and Jurisdiction of Municipal Districts

  • Municipal districts in the Zamboanga portion annexed to Occidental Misamis continue functioning under Occidental Misamis' provincial authorities.
  • Civil and criminal cases pending before courts for that area will be transferred to courts exercising jurisdiction over Occidental Misamis.
  • The Governor-General may reorganize municipal districts by executive order if in the public interest.

Capitals of the New Provinces

  • Capital of Occidental Misamis shall be chosen by a majority vote of municipal presidents in a convention called by the provincial governor.

    • Governor: up to 4,500 pesos annually
    • Treasurer: up to 4,200 pesos annually
    • Fiscal: up to 4,000 pesos annually
  • Members of the provincial board receive a per diem not exceeding 15 pesos per session day.

Legislative Representation

  • Oriental Misamis and Occidental Misamis each have one legislative Representative.
  • The Representative for the first district of former Misamis is assigned to Oriental Misamis.
  • The Representative for the second district is assigned to Occidental Misamis.

Distribution of Assets and Obligations

  • Funds, obligations, and properties of the original Province of Misamis are to be equitably divided between Oriental and Occidental Misamis.
