Creation of San Agustin Municipality, Isabela

The creation of the municipality is made pursuant to Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
The order is issued upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Interior.

The order organizes a portion of the Municipality of Jones, Isabela into an independent municipality under the name San Agustin.

San Agustin is created from the southern portion of the Municipality of Jones, Province of Isabela.
The Municipality of Jones retains its territory minus the portion transferred to San Agustin.
The boundaries of San Agustin are defined by a detailed metes-and-bounds description using Jones cadastre, lot numbers, and natural courses of creeks and rivers.

The boundary begins at a point marked 1 described as P.B.M. No. 1, M.B.M. No. 1 and F. Z. No. 50, in Jones cadastre 253 and proceeds to the other boundary points 2 through 26 as specified in the metes-and-bounds description.
The metes-and-bounds includes segments using bearings and distances such as 5,350.00 m., 5,607.10 m., 5,094.50 m., 1,702.20 m., 1,963.50 m., and 2,326.50 m. (and other distances expressly stated).
The boundary description expressly follows the natural course of Lakay-lakay creek, with a general direction of N. 57A 48' E.
The boundary description expressly follows the natural course of the Cagayan River, including general directions S.85A 26' W., S. 39A 00' W., and other river-course segments.
The boundary description expressly follows the natural course of Dutap Creek, with a general direction of N. 89A 45' E.
The boundary sequence terminates at point 1 of the beginning, closing the described area.

The Municipality of San Agustin contains the following barrios:
- Dappig (seat of the municipal government)
- Masaya Norte, Masaya Sur, Masaya Centro, Nemmatan, Quinalabasa, Virgoneza, Sinaoangan Norte, Sinaoangan Sur, Palacian Grande, Uldogan, and Dabubu.
The municipality also contains the following sitios:
- Rangay, Sto. NiAo, Mapalad, and San Juan.
