Territorial Boundaries of Toboso
- The boundaries of Toboso were carefully delineated and based on existing natural and man-made landmarks:
- Starting at the mouth of Salamanca River and following upstream.
- Proceeding to the intersection with Tinobaga Creek.
- Extending in a straight line to boundary markers B.B.M. No. 6 and No. 5.
- Following the course of Aglolomot Creek.
- Moving along latitude 10° 45’ east-to-west.
- Following the existing boundaries between Escalante and neighboring municipalities Sagay, Calatrava, and San Carlos.
- Final boundary touching M.B.M. markers and the shore of Ta-Aon Strait.
- These demarcations were based on the Escalante cadastral survey conducted between 1917 and 1918.
Effect on the Municipality of Escalante
- The municipality of Escalante retained its territory minus the portion configured into the new municipality of Toboso.
Effective Date of the Reorganization
- The organizational changes took effect on July 1, 1948.
Formalization and Authentication
- The Executive Order was signed by President Elpidio Quirino.
- The order was executed and attested by Executive Secretary Emilio Abello.
- Document was issued in Manila on May 19, 1948, coinciding with the second year of Philippine independence.
