Authority and Approval Process

The Taiwan Department of Health, through information provided by the Taiwan Economic Cultural Office (TECO), approves the accreditation.
POEA oversees the issuance of the Memorandum Circular that officially recognizes these clinics.

Compliance and Application of Accreditation

Agencies and concerned entities may now refer prospective Taiwan-bound workers to any of these accredited clinics.
These clinics operate alongside three previously accredited hospitals for the same purpose.
Referral to these clinics is subject to compliance with existing rules and regulations governing medical examinations for overseas employment.

Implementation and Enforcement

The memorandum was adopted on 7 May 1993 by the Officer-in-Charge of POEA.
