The Pualas High School Annex in Barangay Pualas, Tubod, Lanao del Norte, is established as an independent national high school, the New Pualas National High School, with allocated funding for its operations and maintenance.

Rulemaking Authority

  • The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) is mandated to issue necessary rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this Act effectively.

School Administration

  • The New Pualas National High School shall be headed by a principal appointed by the Secretary of DECS.
  • The incumbent teacher-in-charge shall continue to act as the principal until the appointment is finalized or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.

Assets, Personnel, and Funding

  • The New Pualas National High School shall retain all assets (both fixed and movable), personnel, and records for continuous and permanent use.
  • The school is entitled to receive any allotment intended for its obligations and operational augmentation from the national government or DECS.

Appropriations and Funding Source

  • The initial implementation cost shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Lanao del Norte National Agro-Industrial High School-Pualas High School Annex.
  • Subsequent operational and maintenance expenses shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Effectivity

  • This Act takes effect immediately upon its approval.
  • The law lapsed into effect on May 30, 1998, by virtue of the Constitution, without the President’s signature.
