Features of the Biometric Identity Card

The ID includes biometric identifiers such as a digital face photo, fingerprint, and signature of the permit holder.

Replacement of Previous Permits

The biometric ID replaces the previous temporary residence permits or visas known as "Pink Slipa."
Despite the introduction of the new biometric IDs, all existing temporary residence/employment permits issued under previous legislation remain valid until their expiration.

OFWs arriving with an entry permit or "Blue Slipa" are required to register with CRMD or the Aliens and Immigration Units within seven (7) days of arrival in Cyprus.
