Amended “Aid to the Blind and Handicapped Week”
- The period from April 1 to 7, 1956 is declared as “Aid to the Blind and Handicapped Week.”
- During April 1 to 7, 1956, the Social Welfare Administration shall conduct a campaign for funds for the blind and other handicapped persons.
- The proclamation requires that the campaign activities occur within that April 1–7, 1956 period.
Participating associations and their role
- The Foundation for the Blind of the Philippines, Inc. shall assist and cooperate with the Social Welfare Administration.
- The Philippine Association for the Sightless shall assist and cooperate with the Social Welfare Administration.
- The United Blind Association, Inc. shall assist and cooperate with the Social Welfare Administration.
- The Philippine Blind, Deaf, Dumb, and Crippled Association Inc. shall assist and cooperate with the Social Welfare Administration.
Supervision, control, and participation rules
- All activities connected with the campaign by the named associations and entities must be under the direct supervision and control of the Social Welfare Administration.
- The Social Welfare Administration must issue rules and regulations governing the manner of participation of the named associations or entities in the campaign.
