Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) Functions

Local Government Units (LGUs) Duties
- Provide free complete immunizations to pregnant mothers and infants.
- Conduct regular outreach and health services to ensure full immunization.
- Maintain DOH standards for staffing and supplies.
- Finance health worker travel expenses for immunization follow-up.
- Organize social mobilization activities.
- Mandate full participation of health workers regardless of immunization route.
- Submit accomplishment reports on immunization coverage quarterly or monthly, depending on LGU level.
- Identify and report suspected vaccine-preventable disease cases and submit zero reports when no cases are found.
- Conduct Supplemental Immunization Activities and Child Health Days as prescribed by DOH.
Civil Society Involvement
- Encouraged to support the immunization commitment through resolutions, letters, and social mobilization.
- Report children vaccinated outside the public system to LGUs.

Funding Provisions
- DOH to provide funds for vaccine procurement.

Repealing Clause
- All inconsistent rules, regulations, and issuances are repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon issuance.
