Lead Agencies and Coordination of Activities
- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), National Youth Commission (NYC), and Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) are designated as the lead agencies.
- These agencies are tasked to prepare and implement an annual program of activities related to National Children's Month.
- They are authorized to seek assistance from any government department, bureau, office, agency, or government-owned or -controlled corporation in executing their duties under this Act.
Role of Educational Institutions and Information Dissemination
- The Department of Education (DepED) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) are mandated to facilitate and encourage the commemoration of National Children's Month in all public and private schools nationwide.
- The Philippine Information Agency (PIA), in coordination with DSWD, DepED, CHED, NYC, and CWC, is responsible for ensuring effective information dissemination regarding the observance.
- Local government units, private organizations, civil society groups, private enterprises, nongovernmental organizations, civic, and people's organizations are encouraged to observe the month through simple rites and participation in activities.
Repeal and Modification of Previous Proclamations
- Proclamation No. 74 (1992) and Proclamation No. 267 (1993) are repealed by this Act.
- Any other laws, decrees, orders, rules, or regulations inconsistent with this Act are likewise repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
