  • DENR, with DA and DAR among others, will implement the National Greening Program cooperatively with other government agencies and the private sector.
  • Confiscated logs are prioritized for use by the Department of Education.

Creation and Mandate of the Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force

  • The Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force is established to lead enforcement of the moratorium and anti-illegal logging efforts.
  • Composition includes DENR Secretary as Chair; members are Secretaries of Interior and Local Government, National Defense; Chiefs of PNP and AFP, or authorized representatives.
  • Task Force responsibilities include enforcing the Executive Order and supporting implementation of environmental laws.
  • Can request assistance from any executive branch department or agency for administrative, technical, logistical, or personnel support.
  • DENR will provide the Task Force Secretariat.
  • Initial budget of Ten Million Pesos is allocated by the Department of Budget and Management; additional funding requires Presidential approval.

Repealing and Implementing Provisions

  • All prior executive orders, rules, regulations, and issuances inconsistent with this Order are repealed or modified accordingly.
  • Upon formation, the Task Force must immediately draft guidelines to effectuate the policies herein.
  • The Executive Order takes effect immediately following publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
