Election of Barangay Officials

- Mergers, divisions, or revivals take effect only upon majority approval by voters in a plebiscite.
- Commission on Elections mandated to conduct plebiscite within thirty (30) days after approval of Act by the President.
Funding of Plebiscite
- Expenses for holding the plebiscite to be sourced from the Contingent Fund under current fiscal year appropriations.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect immediately upon Presidential approval.
