Purpose and coverage of the suspension
- The suspension is implemented to provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe 06–07 April 2023 regular holidays.
- The suspension also allows government employees to travel to and from different regions in the country.
- Work in government offices is suspended on 04 April 2023 starting 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon and continuing onward.
Government agencies required to continue operations
- Agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services shall continue their operations.
- Agencies with preparedness/response functions to disasters and calamities shall continue their operations.
- Agencies performing other vital services shall continue their operations.
- These continuing agencies must render the necessary services despite the suspension.
Private companies and offices
- The suspension of work in private companies and private offices is left to the sound discretion of their respective employers.
