Fourth to seventh class treatment
- Section 2 excludes municipalities of the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh classes from coverage under the Act’s compensation provisions.
- Section 2 authorizes municipal councils of these excluded classes to grant a per diem to each Vice-Mayor and councilor.
- Section 2 sets the per diem ceiling at PHP 15 for every day of regular or special session of the council actually attended.
- Section 2 bars per diem for more than two special sessions a month.
Repeal and effectivity
- Section 3 repeals all acts, executive orders, and administrative orders, or parts thereof, that are inconsistent with the Act.
- Section 4 provides that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
- Republic Act No. 6090 was approved on August 4, 1969.
