What law is extended
- Section 1 extends Act No. 2515—“An Act to prevent the exportation of infested or diseased plant material from, and the introduction of plant pests and diseases into, the Philippine Islands, and to provide for the control of such plant pests and diseases as may already exist therein”—to Moros and other non-Christian tribes areas.
- Section 2 makes Act No. 2515 applicable to the Province of Nueva Vizcaya by expressly extending “the following Act” of the Philippine Legislature to that province.
- Act No. 2530 operates by incorporation-by-extension, applying the referenced plant pest control law in the named places. (Sections 1 and 2)
Ports for Mindanao and Sulu
- For purposes of Act No. 2515 where the Department of Mindanao and Sulu is concerned, the law treats the ports of Zamboanga and Jolo as the relevant ports under the plant pest framework. (Section 1, proviso)
Effectivity and implementation timing
- Act No. 2530 takes effect upon its passage. (Section 3)
- The Act was enacted on September 4, 1915. (Enacted clause)
