Continued Prohibition on Exporting Aburia Seeds and Seedlings
- Despite lifting the ban on fibers and filaments, the exportation of seeds or seedlings of the aburia plant remains unlawful.
- This prohibition applies to any person, corporation, firm, or association attempting to export such reproductive materials to any foreign country.
Penalties for Violation
- Violation of the export ban on aburia seeds or seedlings is punishable by imprisonment ranging from one month up to one year.
- Alternatively, the offender may be subjected to a fine of not less than one hundred pesos, as determined by the court's discretion.
- In addition to criminal penalties, the seeds or seedlings attempted to be exported are subject to confiscation and forfeiture to the government.
Effectivity
- The provisions of the Act took effect immediately upon its approval on June 19, 1948.
