- Republic Act No. 9247 amends Subparagraph 8 and Paragraph (e) of Section 14 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129.

- Republic Act No. 9247 requires Fourteen branches (Branches LIII to LX and Branch LXXXIII) for the province of Quezon and the City of Lucena.
- Republic Act No. 9247 sets Branches LIII to LX with seats at Lucena City.
- Republic Act No. 9247 provides that Branches LXI and LXII have seats at Gumaca.
- Republic Act No. 9247 assigns Branch LXIII to Calauag and Branch LXIV to Mauban.
- Republic Act No. 9247 assigns Branch LXV to Infanta.
- Republic Act No. 9247 assigns Branch LXXXIII to Catanauan.
Judicial program and funding
- Republic Act No. 9247 directs the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, to immediately include in its program the operationalization of the new Regional Trial Court in Catanauan, Quezon.
- Republic Act No. 9247 requires that the funding for the new RTC in Catanauan, Quezon be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
