Authority and purpose of the Act
- Section 1 increases the bed capacity of Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center (PJGMRMC) from four hundred (400) to one thousand (1,000) beds.
- Section 1 requires any future increase in bed capacity to be consistent with the hospital development plan prepared by the Department of Health (DOH).
- Section 2 upgrades the PJGMRMC’s existing professional health care services and facilities to match the increased bed capacity.

- Section 6 repeals or modifies laws, executive orders, issuances, and rules and regulations that are inconsistent with Republic Act No. 11704.
