    • Secretary: 960 pesos
    • Treasurer: 1,440 pesos (960 municipal; 480 provincial)
  • Fourth Class Municipalities:
    • Mayor: 1,440 pesos
    • Secretary: 720 pesos
    • Treasurer: 1,200 pesos (800 municipal; 400 provincial)
  • Fifth Class Municipalities:
    • Mayor: 1,200 pesos
    • Secretary: 600 pesos
    • Treasurer: 960 pesos (640 municipal; 320 provincial)

Appeal Procedures on Salary and Per Diem Decisions

  • Municipal officers, councils, or dissenting provincial board members may appeal provincial board decisions regarding salaries and per diems.
  • Appeals must be filed within ten days of receipt of the contested decision.
  • The appeal is forwarded to the Secretary of the Interior or Secretary of Finance, whose decision is final.

Budget Adjustment Provisions

  • Allows provincial boards and municipal councils that have already submitted budgets for the current fiscal year to recall them.
  • Enables necessary adjustments to conform with the salary scale established by this Act.

Effectivity Clause

  • The Act takes effect immediately upon approval on June 2, 1947.
