  • Trailers without explicit violent scenes but with an overall impression of violence are not allowed.

Prohibition of Drug-Related Content

  • Any depiction of drug-taking or drug abuse is forbidden in trailers.

Restrictions on Sexual Content

  • Explicit or suggestive sexual content is prohibited.
  • Specific prohibited depictions include pumping, frontal nudity, breast exposure, torrid kissing, body fondling, and sexual aberrations.

Language Restrictions

  • MTRCB currently reviews only movie trailers submitted by producers and distributors.
  • Television networks are now also required to submit all trailers and teasers advertising movies shown on television for MTRCB review starting September 1, 1993.
