Purpose and policy statement
- The order recognizes that present economic conditions require further enhancement of SSS and EC pensions to make them more meaningful and responsive to the times.
- The order recognizes that SSS regular pensions for disabled pensioners are intended to replace part of lost income and do not cover additional expenditures arising after the onset of disability.
- The order provides for supplemental financial assistance to address additional medication and aid/appliance expenses faced by disabled pensioners and to extend similar assistance to permanent partial disability pensioners.
- The order declares that SSS and EC funds can finance the increases without impairing viability or requiring an increase in contribution rates.

- The P300 supplemental pension is granted as an additional monthly benefit for SSS permanent partial disability pensioners.
