Classification of Allowance Rates by Road Mileage and Official Rank

  • Provinces, cities, and municipalities classified by kilometers of first and second class roads connected to the capital.
  • Four categories of mileage: 350 km or more; 200 to less than 350 km; 150 to less than 200 km; 75 to less than 150 km.
  • Officials grouped by rank include:
    • Provincial Governors, City Mayors, and Provincial/City Engineers.
    • Provincial and City Treasurers and other equivalent provincial/city officials.
    • Municipal Mayors.
    • Municipal Engineers and other equivalent municipal officials.
  • Monthly allowance caps decrease with lesser road mileage and differ by official rank, ranging from P350 to P60.

Determination of Equivalent Official Ranks

  • The Joint Commission on Local Government Personnel Administration decides which officials are equivalent in rank to the Provincial and City Treasurers and Municipal Engineers.
  • Recommendations by the local chief executive are required.
  • This determination affects eligibility for the reimbursement allowances.

Repealing Clause and Effectivity

  • All existing rules or regulations inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.
  • The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon signing.
