  • Ship Design subject exclusively 100% subjective and graded manually.

Question Bank Management

  • Initial input of a minimum of 500 questions per subject into the Commission's question bank.
  • Additional input of at least 300 new questions per examination to reach a target of 3,000 questions.
  • Continuous update to reflect latest economic, technological, and scientific developments.
  • Questions become Commission intellectual property and cannot be withdrawn once Board Member leaves.
  • Incoming or reassigned Board Members to review, revise, delete, or add questions.

Extraction and Security Procedures

  • Questions randomly extracted to create at least two sets with different orders for each examination.
  • Strict security: persons involved cannot leave the confidential room until one hour after exam starts.
  • Presence of NBI agents, security officers, or designated observers to oversee process externally.

Data Integrity and Access Control

  • Computer programs and files secured against tampering.
  • Multiple passwords assigned to prevent single-person control or access.
  • Three responsible key officials designated for system security.

Examination Correction and Rating

  • Objective questions graded automatically by Optical Mark Reader (OMR).
  • Subjective questions can be graded by OMR or manually depending on type.

Implementation and Dissemination

  • Resolution effective 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or a widely circulated newspaper.
  • Dissemination of Resolution to educational institutions offering naval architecture and marine engineering.
