Assignment of Branch Numbers
- The Supreme Court holds the authority to assign specific branch numbers to each of the newly created RTC branches.
Implementation and Funding
- The Chief Justice, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, is mandated to include the implementation of this Act in the Supreme Court's program immediately.
- Funding for the new courts shall be provided through the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA).
- Funds for operation will only be appropriated and released upon the actual organization of the courts and upon appointment of personnel, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Amendments to Existing Laws
- Section 14(c) of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129 (The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980), as amended, is repealed, modified, or further amended as necessary to align with this Act.
- Any provisions inconsistent with this Act are considered repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication either in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
Legislative Process and Approval
- This Act is a consolidation of Senate Bill No. 3053 and House Bill No. 6753.
- The bills were finalized and passed by the Senate on September 17, 2012, and by the House of Representatives on January 28, 2013.
- The Act was approved by the President on May 17, 2013.
