  • Such reduction is implemented by the President upon recommendation of the Secretary of Finance.

Source of Salary Funds

  • The highway district engineer's salary is paid entirely from national funds.
  • Half of the salaries of provincial auditors, health officers, assistant provincial auditors, and assistant provincial health officers are paid from national funds; the other half from provincial funds.
  • Provinces bear the increase in these salaries until national government funding is confirmed in the General Appropriations Act.

Provision of Quarters for Provincial Governors

  • The provincial board has discretion to provide quarters or allowance in lieu thereof for the provincial governor in addition to salary.

Travel Expense Reimbursement

  • Provincial vice-governors and board members not residing in the provincial capital are entitled to reimbursement of actual and necessary travel expenses for attending provincial board sessions.

Effectivity

  • The law takes effect immediately upon approval, embodying the adjustments and provisions herein.
