  • Officials with salaries fixed under Section 1 who concurrently hold or are designated to hold other positions or memberships in government or private entities (representing the government) shall not receive additional compensation or per diems for these other roles.

Appropriation for Salary Increases

  • An appropriation of 1,500,000 pesos is authorized to cover salary increases provided in Section 1.
  • Savings from executive, legislative, judicial departments, and General Auditing Office may be used to supplement this amount.

Non-Reduction of Current Salaries and Reorganization Plans

  • This Act does not repeal or modify approved government reorganization plans under Republic Act No. 997, as amended.
  • The salaries fixed shall not reduce the current salaries of existing incumbents of the specified positions.

Amendment of Inconsistent Laws

  • All laws or parts inconsistent with this Act are amended accordingly to align with its provisions.

Effective Date and Conditions for Salary Increase Implementation

  • The Act takes effect on July 1, 1964.
  • Salary increases for the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House take effect simultaneous with those for Congressmen and Senators.
