Composition and Organization of the Committee

  • The Committee comprises five members:
    1. Two representatives from the GRP (Secretary Alexander P. Aguirre and Undersecretary Anselmo S. Avenido Jr.).
    2. Two representatives from the RPM-P/RPA/ABB (Ariel Sabandar and Veronica Tabara).
    3. A fifth member chosen jointly by both parties based on integrity, impartiality, ability, and patriotism.
  • The Committee is empowered to form a Secretariat to assist in carrying out its functions.

Reintegration Fund

  • Establishment of a Reintegration Fund amounting to Ten Million Pesos (P10,000,000.00) sourced from the President's Social Fund.
  • The Fund is dedicated to financing programs and projects that assist the released political prisoners' reintegration into society and support their development.
  • Management and utilization of the Fund are under the Committee's authority, subject to existing government rules and regulations.

Budget Allocation for Committee Operations

  • The Department of Budget is directed to release an initial Five Million Pesos (P5,000,000.00) from the President's Contingent Fund to cover operational expenses of the Committee and its Secretariat.
  • Additional funds may be released by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) following submission of a Work and Financial Plan by the Committee.
