Composition and Organization of the Committee
- The Committee comprises five members:
- Two representatives from the GRP (Secretary Alexander P. Aguirre and Undersecretary Anselmo S. Avenido Jr.).
- Two representatives from the RPM-P/RPA/ABB (Ariel Sabandar and Veronica Tabara).
- A fifth member chosen jointly by both parties based on integrity, impartiality, ability, and patriotism.
- The Committee is empowered to form a Secretariat to assist in carrying out its functions.
Reintegration Fund
- Establishment of a Reintegration Fund amounting to Ten Million Pesos (P10,000,000.00) sourced from the President's Social Fund.
- The Fund is dedicated to financing programs and projects that assist the released political prisoners' reintegration into society and support their development.
- Management and utilization of the Fund are under the Committee's authority, subject to existing government rules and regulations.
Budget Allocation for Committee Operations
- The Department of Budget is directed to release an initial Five Million Pesos (P5,000,000.00) from the President's Contingent Fund to cover operational expenses of the Committee and its Secretariat.
- Additional funds may be released by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) following submission of a Work and Financial Plan by the Committee.
Legal Effectivity
- The Executive Order became effective immediately upon issuance on January 4, 2001.
