Salary Schedule for Enlisted Men

  • Fixed monthly pay rates are established for enlisted ranks as follows:
    • Master Sergeant and First Sergeant: P276
    • Technical Sergeant: P228
    • Staff Sergeant: P192
    • Sergeant: P156
    • Corporal: P132
    • Private First Class: P108
    • Private: P100

Effective Date and Scope of Pay Rates

  • Pay rates and allowances apply upon the date when a military unit is either returned to or constituted under organized military control.
  • For individual officers or enlisted men, pay rates start upon reporting to such units after being called, recalled, or enlisted for active duty.
  • A unit's status as "returned or constituted under organized military control" is announced by the Commander-in-Chief, Southwest Pacific Area.

Limitations and Conditions on Pay Increases

  • No increase in pay or allowances shall be granted due to foreign service.
  • No pay increases based on length of service will be paid during the effective period of these rates.
  • Pay for duties requiring regular and frequent aerial flights is not eligible for additional compensation during the rate's effective period.

Supersession of Conflicting Orders

  • Any provisions from existing Executive Orders conflicting with the salary and allowance schedules established by this order are superseded.

Duration and Authority

  • The prescribed salary rates and allowances are effective during the war period and for six months thereafter unless terminated earlier by competent authority.
  • The authority for this order is exercised pursuant to section 90 of the National Defense Act and the Emergency Powers Law.
  • The Order is signed by the President of the Philippines and the Secretary to the President, issued at the seat of government in the field on October 28, 1944.
