Legal basis and authority
- Executive Order No. 52 is issued under the President’s powers vested by section 31 of Commonwealth Act No. 1, as amended by Commonwealth Act No. 569.
- The President prescribes the compensation rates for PMA students pursuant to that delegated authority.
Scope: who receives benefits
- Executive Order No. 52 covers the students of the Philippine Military Academy.
- The rates apply starting with the academic year 1947-1948 to the PMA students entitled to receive pay and allowances under the order.
Pay and allowance rates provided
- Students receive an initial clothing allowance of PHP 200.00.
- Students receive monthly pay and allowance of PHP 130.00.
- The prescribed rates operate as the students’ compensation for the covered benefits beginning with academic year 1947-1948.
Duration, repeal, and governing continuation
- The prescribed pay and allowance continue until otherwise provided.
- All orders or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are repealed.
