Law Summary

Elderly Data Management System

  • An elderly data management system will be maintained by the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) to ensure effective implementation of the Act.
  • The system will record relevant information on all persons covered by the Act.
  • The NCSC is mandated to coordinate with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and local government units (LGUs) for the online registration and management of beneficiaries.
  • The system shall operate pursuant to Republic Act No. 11350 and its implementing rules and regulations.

Appropriations

  • The necessary funds to implement the Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Separability Clause

  • If any provision of the Act is declared invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration shall not affect the other provisions which shall continue to be in full force and effect.

Repealing Clause

  • All existing laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, proclamations, rules and regulations or parts thereof that are inconsistent with or contrary to this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
